AMA Nominees Announced

Yesterday the nominees for this year’s American Music Awardswere announced. The big show is coming up November 20th on ABC. So who was on top with the most nods?

Who doesn’t love Adele? Obviously everyone does because she has the most AMA nominations this year. She has 4 nominations including artist of the year, favorite female artist, favorite adult contemporary artist and favorite album for “21.” Her sophomore album is the year’s best-selling album with more than 3.7 million copies sold in the United States. She killed it at this year’s VMA’s so my vote is with her for Artist of the Year.

This year is definitely the year for the ladies in the Artist of the Year category. There’s only one guy getting a nomination in that category this year and it’s Lil’ Wayne. The other nominees in this category are Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift.

Swift, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Perry, Rihanna and The Band Perry all trailed Adele closely with three nominations each. Pitbull and Nicki Minaj both got two nominations each, along with Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Jason Aldean, LMFAO and Kanye West. See the full list of nominees below, and cast your votes here.
